Leucan Shaved Head Challenge 2023 Regional Campaign

There are many ways for you to take part in the Challenge’s solidarity movement. Whether it’s with your company, your school, at a regional event organized by Leucan, or privately (alone or in a group), choose the option you prefer and take up the Challenge in your own image. In every corner of the region, the Challenge will bring together dedicated people who, like you, will make the great gesture of solidarity of the Leucan Shaved Head Challenge to give hope to the families of children with cancer.

A touching and unifying event in Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville!

On June 11, 16 brave participants took up the Challenge at a regional event organized by Leucan at CF Promenades St-Bruno, in Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville. With friends, family or on their own, they made this great gesture of solidarity in front of their loved ones. They joined dozens of others in the region who have been participating since the beginning of the year, in schools, businesses and private individuals. Together, they raised $233,172 in support of children with cancer and their families, of which over $14,000 was raised by Challenge participants in Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville.

On site, young spokesperson Émilie, now in remission, encouraged and thanked participants for their support. In fact, two of her friends took up the Challenge to honor the courage and positivism she showed during her treatments.

Thanks to CF Promenades St-Bruno for hosting this great event!

Émilie, an inspiring young spokesperson

“Hello there! My name is Émilie. In March 2020, right at the beginning of the pandemic, I was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma. I feel really lucky to be able to say that I’ve been in remission for almost three years now. It hasn’t been a smooth ride with the treatments, but Leucan’s many services have allowed my family and me to have a little balm on our wounds. Through the moments of respite that Leucan has given us, I’ve had the chance to meet some incredible young people and to rub shoulders with staff who wear their hearts on their sleeves.

As spokesperson for the Leucan Shaved Head Challenge, I invite you to take up the Challenge with your school, your company or privately, at the time and place of your choice. Your gesture of solidarity will have a tremendous impact on young cancer patients.”
