I accepted the honorary presidency of the Leucan Shaved Head Challenge because I consider myself extremely fortunate to be able to make the conscious choice to shave my head for the cause. The children do not have that chance to choose.
Over the past 21 years at Charles River Laboratories, I have been able to witness all the advances in research and I can say that research can make a real difference in people’s health.
My role as a mother of a young daughter and the pandemic have led me to review my priorities and want to get involved in a meaningful project. Participating in the Leucan Shaved Head Challenge is the natural outcome of these reflections and my way of showing my solidarity with the children that Leucan supports.
