When my little brother was born, my parents began to wonder about my health. At the age of 4, I was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia, and our lives just stopped. I underwent surgery, hemoglobin and platelet transfusions, and chemotherapy.
Over the course of a year, I received dozens of blood transfusions and spent hundreds of days at the hospital. Today, I am still battling with cancer. There are still many rounds of chemotherapy and transfusions to come in the next two years, but I can breathe easier, laugh, play, and stay at home with my family. Leucan is always there for us, and that’s what counts! That’s why I’m urging everyone in Lanaudière to take part in the Leucan Shaved Head Challenge on September 15.
