Hi! My name is Maliah Robinson and I’m 11 years old.

I had been living in Senegal for three years when I started having flu-like symptoms, such as fever, stuffy nose, and headaches.

Within a few days, my symptoms worsened. After many tests, it became clear that I had acute myeloid leukemia.

Since there are no treatments for such serious illnesses in Senegal, we left the country and returned to Canada. As soon as we arrived, we were at CHU Sainte-Justine. My first chemotherapy was one of the hardest I have ever experienced.

Leucan did many things for my family, like massages at home and activities to celebrate holidays like Christmas. We can’t thank them enough for their support.

That’s why I agreed to be a spokesperson! I invite you to participate in the Leucan Shaved Head Challenge to give strength and courage to children with cancer.

Thank you for your support!
